In 2000 Elena Kamlyuk graduated from Vitebsk College of Arts with a degree of stage director of folk rites and holidays. She is a prize-winner of the international contest held in Vitebsk in 2000. Since 1996 Elena has been a member of Belarusian craftsmen’s union of popular arts. She participated in different international festivals in Hungary, Germany, Latvia, Estonia and in Slavianski Bazar in Vitebsk. Elena was a head of children’s art studio in Lepel House of Handicrafts. She is a weaver and specializes in weaving Belarusian folk belts. She has collected many interesting samples of belts that are exposed at the museum ethnographic gallery and helped to recreate a weaving machine. Mrs. Kamlyuk is fond of cooking. She likes to collect ethnographic objects and admires nature.
